Residency at Caerleon

I am very glad to have a residency at the Virtual Art Initiative. I have a huge space at the Caerleon sims to work on a video installation or whatever I want.

Also I'm involved in the creation of machinima documenting an 8 month project of collaborative exploration of the fundamental dimensions that make the art of virtual worlds a unique aesthetic medium. Each of these dimensions - immersion, interaction, ambiguity of identity, environmental fluidity, artificial agency, and globally networked collaboration - is being explored in a collaboration of artists under the direction of a project leader lasting approximately six weeks.
The collaborations are being thoroughly documented in images, text, and machinima film, and will generate work that will be exhibited in the "real world" Harbor Gallery at the University of Massachusetts at Boston in April 2010.

The first dimension - immersion - is currently being explored by Bryn Oh, Glyph Graves and Nonnatus Korhonen, in the project Immersiva, an immersive interactive story telling performance.

Check on Arrival at Göttingen International Ethnographic Film Festival

The online demo of Check on Arrival is displayed at the Göttingen International Ethnographic Film Festival 2008 from 30 april to 4 may 2008.

Caterwaul at Huret & Spector Gallery (Boston), Turbulence.org, and Ars Virtua (Second Life).

Caterwaul is displayed at Mixed Realities - An International Networked Art Exhibition and Symposium from February 7 - April 15, 2008.
As this is a Mixed Reality event, things will be happening at Huret & Spector Gallery, 10 Boylston Place, 6th Floor, Emerson College, Boston, Massachusetts, turbulence.org, and in Second Life at Ars Virtua.

Reception in Ars Virtua on Thursday Feb 7 from 2pm-4pm SLT.

The Emotion Vending Machine is displayed at The European School of Visual Arts from 10 january - 8 february 2008, 9 - 12, 14 - 19 at l’École européenne supérieure de l’image, site de POITIERS, 26 rue Jean Alexandre.
